Cancellation & Refund Policy
Simple and fair cancellation rules for both hosts and travellers.
1. Full Refund Window
We offer a full refund if a booking is cancelled before 7 days of the trip start date. The refund will be processed back to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.
2. No-Refund Window
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the trip start time are not eligible for any refund. This policy protects our hosts from last-minute cancellations that disrupt their planning.
3. Partial Refund Window
Cancellations made between 1 and 7 days before the trip start date may be eligible for a partial refund, subject to the host's cancellation policy stated on the trip listing page. Please review the specific trip page for details before booking.
4. Host-Initiated Cancellations
If a host cancels a trip for any reason, travellers will receive a 100% full refund of all amounts paid, including the escrow advance. We will notify all affected travellers immediately via email and in-app notification.
5. Escrow Advance
The 10% escrow advance paid at booking is part of the total trip cost. It is subject to the same refund policy above. The escrow advance is released to the host only after the traveller verifies the in-person meetup via OTP.
6. Commission
TravelBuddiz charges a flat 10% commission from hosts on successful bookings. Travellers pay zero platform fees. The 10% commission is deducted from the host payout at the time of settlement and is non-refundable.
7. Contact & Disputes
If you believe a refund was incorrectly processed or have a dispute, please contact our support team via the in-app support dashboard or at support@travelbuddiz.com. We resolve all disputes within 5 business days.
