To secure bookings and protect local hosts from last-minute cancellations, travelers pay a 10% advance deposit. This deposit is held in a secure escrow account managed by TravelBuddiz and is only released to the host after the traveler meets them and shares the meetup OTP.
The remaining 90% of the trip fee is paid directly by the traveler to the host during the trip. This direct-pay structure eliminates middleman delays and ensures hosts keep 100% of their earnings.
Yes! Listing trips on TravelBuddiz is 100% free. We do not charge commissions on bookings, allowing local hosts, tour creators, and homestays to keep 100% of their published pricing.
It is our industry-first security handshake. When travelers book a trip, they receive a secure 4-digit Meetup OTP. The host only receives their escrow payout when the traveler meets them at the destination and provides this OTP.
If a host cancels the trip, the traveler receives a 100% refund of the escrow advance immediately. If a traveler cancels, refunds depend on the host's cancellation policy (Flexible, Moderate, or Strict) as detailed on the trip page.
